Regression and EFT

Regression and EFT, in plain words

Regression is guided hypnosis that returns your attention to an earlier moment, sometimes in this life and sometimes in what people experience as a past life. EFT, the emotional freedom technique, pairs a spoken phrase with tapping on acupressure points to ease the charge around a memory or feeling. Both are delivered by trained practitioners, and each has its own training. Love of One does not offer either, but I have spent a lot of time in the client's chair.

What a regression session is like

It usually starts with a long, slow relaxation. The practitioner might count you down, ask you to imagine stairs or a path, and keep checking how relaxed your body feels. You stay aware the whole time. You can hear the room and you can speak. Then images begin, often ordinary ones first: the ground under your feet, what you are wearing, the light. The practitioner asks simple questions, and the answers tend to come faster than you can think them.

Many practitioners also ask to speak with your higher self near the end, and that part can feel very different. The voice may be calmer and more certain, and it may answer questions you couldn't answer yourself.

What I learned from my own sessions

My first hypnosis session was a QHHT session with Tracie Mahan in December 2023. I had no idea what to expect, and it opened a door I have been walking through ever since. Over the following two years I did a regression series with Alex Heintz, and more QHHT with Monica Dunn, and every session was recorded. What surprised me most was how the pieces arrived out of order. Something mentioned in passing in one session would make sense a year later in another, with a different practitioner. Keeping the recordings is the single best advice I can pass on.

I also learned to go gently afterward. Drink water, eat something grounding, and give yourself a quiet evening. Some sessions keep working for days.

Hear these sessions on the podcast

Many of my own hypnosis sessions were recorded for the podcast, so you can hear what this work sounds like from the inside before you book anything.

Choosing a practitioner

  • Look for proper training and certification in the method they offer.
  • Ask whether they record sessions and send you the file.
  • Notice how you feel on a short call first. Trust and safety matter more than credentials alone.
  • Remember that this work is not a substitute for medical or psychological care.

If you'd like to work with me

My private sessions are not hypnosis, but they share the same spirit of going inward with someone holding the space. The Recalibration is one 60-minute session on Zoom, and The Threshold is three sessions over six to eight weeks.

Questions people ask

Will I remember what happens in a regression session?

Most people remember a good deal, but details often fade like a dream. That is why recordings are so valuable.

Do I have to believe in past lives for regression to help?

No. Many people treat what comes up as meaningful imagery from the subconscious and still find it useful.

If this conversation is close to what you are actually living with, The Recalibration is where that work happens here — 60 minutes. Nothing on the podcast is a pitch for it; the practice and the conversations simply come from the same place.
